The Flaming Lips at the NX35 festival in Denton, TX on March 13, 2010. Clips from later moments in the show, from the front lines. Wayne dedicated "Waitin' For A Superman" to their friend Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse, who killed himself a week before, and told the crowd that if anyone they know is struggling, to encourage them to find something, anything, to hold onto until things get better. A...

The Flaming Lips at the NX35 festival in Denton, TX on March 13, 2010. Moments from show opener "Worm Mountain". Starting to blow out their $6000 worth of confetti and giant balloons. Audio is not great and it was crazy at the front and impossible to hold a camera still, but maybe you'll enjoy it anyway. ;-) Just a way to show my uninitiated friends a little of the madness that comprises a Lips...
Thom Yorke - Atoms for Peace - Cambridge

This is the only song from Thom's amazing solo gig (at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on 25 February 2010, to benefit the Green Party) that didn't have a video uploaded here, so I used an audio recording of the performance (with permission of the taper) and made a slideshow set to photos from the show, so that this complete concert can be represented on youtube! Oh and I should mention that the tr...
Thom and Ed discuss activism and group politics
Переглядів 9 тис.14 років тому
Radiohead's Thom Yorke discusses political activism, Friends of the Earth, and Harrowdown Hill with Dave Fanning; Ed O'Brien joins in about political disagreements within the group and Thom reveals that the politics almost prevented Radiohead from touring. Thom deliberately enunciates when referring to "The Big Ask" campaign! Wouldn't want anyone to think he was saying something else ;-)

Переглядів 79 тис.14 років тому
Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Ed O'Brien talk to Dave Fanning about making Hail to the Thief, the album's politics and problems with editing, and working with a record company. They also discuss working with the mighty producer Nigel Godrich, as well as how their music has progressed but has not been part of a scene (they are working in a vacuum). Thom admits he couldn't work alone...he'd never fi...
Thom and Ed discuss making Kid A
Переглядів 138 тис.14 років тому
Dave Fanning poses the question to Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Ed O'Brien: Could Kid A and Amnesiac have been a double album? [Kid Amnesiac ;-)] Thom and Ed discuss the making of Kid A, its lack of guitar music, and how Thom and Nigel's recording of Everything In Its Right Place pulled it all together, and say that for In Rainbows, Videotape was the song that got them on track.

The kid thing was so cute
KID A is the greatest left turn in Music history. It's turned out to be a 21st century classic.
Did Ed contribute anything to Kid A? Its not a joke, genually wondering
anyone know what trucker jacket thom is wearing
0:42 i mean to be fair kid A and the national anthem both have bass guitar
Cómo me calientan estos dos los inglesessonbuenos amantes lo digo porq lo comprobé!❤😅
Gloaming is so good
This interviewer is terrible
"Tough times in two and a half years of tough." Lol
these guys don't have a clue that its the best record they ever made, astounding!
In Rainbows is a truly great album. So is Ok Computer, The Bends and A Moon Shaped Pool... Their track record is god tier
I'm glad Kid A / Amnesiac wasn't a double album. While the albums have similarities they are also quite unique. I loved having that break between the release of the two albums because it gave them the time and space they deserved to be appreciated on their own.
The first 30 seconds of this are probably what inspired “KID A MNESIA”
Interesting how vital a good producer is as editor.
I thought Ed was tom middleditch
Just want to say Dave Fanning is an absolute legend.
These dudes are the kind of musicians you can tell didnt want international fame and all that goes with it. Almost like a Pearl Jam situation.
i think they wanted just to be known in england but it blew out of proportions. i bet thom wanted to be a star but not THIS KIND OF STAR
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeedddd
he sounds just like my dad
So funny to think of them talking, way back then, about being old.
Hail to the Thief is still my favorite Radiohead album
I agree Hail could use some cuts but it’s still a really good album!!
Why did Thom hate guitars so much?
They might get some self confidence when they make a decent album, good luck to the lads.
I am alpha & omega. You may look for free. Placing it directly under the loo in the sky is not very nice.
Madonna takes noises and make them into music . . . Ray of Light. These guys are exploring that dimension so nicely.
Music is creativity and has avenues facilitated by a machine that is extremely liberal with the domestic tranquility of those avenues to the point that value takes on different values. The machine greases the cogs and sometimes misses the suspension. Who's the thief? Who's next? Whose day is more than another's day? Thief? All is quiet on New Years Day.
I read that as Thom and Ed talks about making a kid lmao
is the full interview posted anywhere?
baaaaaaaaaalissstic
it's a sad thing watching this on 2022 knowing they don't know if lp10 will exist someday... holy fuck i just played it for full of serotonin purposes and now my chest kinda hurts hahah
That winds me up something chronic. 😎
Really gets my goat
Better than in rainbows 100% myxamatosis is a beast, solid album
Man, I hate videotape.
they sound like paranoid somethings. cant think what though.
If they're talking about poor editing, they could look at Amnesiac as well.... That album has a very cut/paste feel to its arrangement. Really think they should have taken more time after Kid A to flesh out something more cohesive.
The face on Thom when Fanning compares him to Bono
Hail to the thief will forever be Radiohead’s greatest album ever. As a Radiohead fan people always say Ok Computer is the best album ever or Kid A is the best album ever. I love both!!! They’re both amazing records but hail to the thief just hits me hard and have a strong emotional connection to that glorious protest album. Made during my birth year 2003 when Bush was destroying America and the government brought corruption at its worst and still terrible to this day war is happening rn in Russia and Ukraine and America is freaking out and I’m scared. Hail to the thief brings me comfort and joy everytime I listen to it. I can feel the raw aggressive protest lyrics and heavy experimental songcraft and each song is different, from rock to electronica to blues, RnB, everything in one album with a strong message that still holds up of today Hail to the thief is their greatest album ever made!!! ******My opinion*****
I think The Bends is their greatest It really doesn't overcomplicate itself and I like that
Thom seems drunk here and flabby.
Am I the only one who loves the album , hail to the thief It’s on freaking repeat for the last few weeks
"The Gloaming" would have been a better album name, fits well with "The King of Limbs" (maybe Thom's attempt to eliminate the old title lol). It makes more sense with the rest of their catalog, but I think it was purposeful to distinguish the album: it had a raw quality that no other Radiohead album has ever quite achieved (or really aimed for).
The people in these comments hadnt even witnessed thom yorke's incredible dancing from lotus flower vid
Not my type of music but the 'pay what you want' download? Wow - John Lennon would've been proud of Radiohead. To shut some people up you could have a token minimum price.
Of course, Johnny Greenwood isn't here to answer the question on aging because he's still 17.
55555555555 he just innocent and soft boy
Dang. So insightful. Thank you for posting this.
I can’t understand what does it mean “being in rainbows” 😟😟😟😟😔
3:54 :D👍
Also I imagine they wanted out of their record company contract, so turn it into two albums. lol
"If you are trying to do something good, it can be really tough"
Donde puedo conseguir la película?
